Summer Storytime Challenge

Make this a summer filled with stories, imagination, creativity, and sweet memories.

Studies show that children can lose valuable reading skills during summer break. One of the best ways to help children continue learning is through the simple joy of reading together. That’s why Lil’ Libros and La Michoacana created the Summer Storytime Challenge — a fun and rewarding way to encourage families to read aloud all summer long.

Here’s how it works:

• Read 20 books aloud with your child

• Download and complete the Summer Reading Log

• Complete 10 drawing sheets inspired by the stories you read

• Submit your completed challenge to Lil’ Libros by September 15, 2026

Families who complete the challenge will receive FREE La Michoacana Paletas as a reward for reading together this summer.

If your child is able to write, encourage them to include a short description with their drawings. If not, feel free to help write it for them.
